Who we are:

Independent Consultation and Intervention Service (ICIS) is a professional group providing services to address the needs of children and families with regards to the psycho-social, emotional and behavioural domain.

We are a team of experienced professionals who have all worked in CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) as well as in adult mental health services, social services, independent social projects and private practice, over many years. We have found it very beneficial to work using a multi-professional and multi-agency model in order to derive the most robust resolutions to many emotional, behavioural, interpersonal and psychological challenges faced by modern families.

In this climate of reducing resources, we are offering in a private capacity, services which are representative of services previously available through the NHS and other statutory agencies. This allows self referrals to a comprehensive team that provides timely and effective intervention. We would be seen as sitting between primary care interventions e.g. schools and a level, where clients require specialist clinical interventions.

Our core team consists of a:

• Charted Clinical Psychologist

• Family Therapist

• Specialist Psychiatric and General Nurse and

• Senior Social Worker

We also have a network for consultations with:

• Child Psychotherapists

• Educational Psychologists

• Child & Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrists
